-
LCLC acts as the local champion for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library and raises funds to purchase the books that are given to local children regardless of their income. Your gift of $25 provides one child with a year of monthly books.
-
LCLC recruits local community members who volunteer to coach adults one-on-one in the ABLE (Adult Basic Literacy Education) program. Your gift of $15 provides a vocabulary-building book to an adult learner with low-level literacy. Your gift of $50 supplies GED preparation materials to two adult learners who are working hard to get their GED and be positive role models to their children.
-
LCLC partners with local schools and community members to produce the Children’s Book Festival where first-graders receive a book and have the opportunity to meet the author. Your gift of $75 will make it possible for 8 kids to get excited about reading with a new book and start their journey to becoming lifelong readers.
